Club raises hundreds for disability charity

Exel Club | Present Sussex Charity Gift

A group of retired freight workers from Sussex have helped to raise hundreds of pounds for Sussex Disability Charity, The Bevern Trust.

The Exel Retired Staff Association has more than 60 members in its club across Sussex. The club meets regularly for coach trips and for an annual dinner at the Royal Albion Hotel in Brighton.

This year the group also organised a number of events and fundraising activities and raised £440 for The Bevern Trust. The Sussex Disability Charity relies on voluntary gifts like this to allow people with disabilities to live with more freedom and opportunity. The charity needs to raise at least £12,000 each month to continue to care for people with profoundly complex needs in Sussex.

The charity is hoping the money raised from Exel can be match-funded by parent organisation the DHL UK Foundation.
