Our mission is to provide the best home care to people with a profound disability in Sussex
Bevern Home Care will soon offer an affordable domiciliary service with reliability, quality and ethics at it’s core. Unlike larger organisations who are driven by profits, Bevern Home Care will never compromise on quality and offers better care at the best price.
QUALITY: Compromising on price doesn’t work. Most problems in domiciliary care come from not paying enough and having lower standards. We always pay staff above Living Wage Foundation rates, giving the highest standards of care.
ETHICS: We are not out to make a profit. As a charity, everything we make comes back to the beneficiaries – not shareholders.
RELIABILITY: One of the biggest concerns from parents is reliability of care staff. We don’t use zero-hour contracts, so our staff are more reliable and will always be on time.
TRAINING: We won’t compromise on standards. Our staff are highly trained and qualified to care for disabled people with epilepsy and other highly complex conditions.
Sadly it was no surprise to see that no extra funds had been allocated to adult social care in the recent Autumn budget. Yet charities like The Bevern Trust are asked to do more with much less. As ‘a beacon for people with disabilities’, we know there are nearly 2000 profoundly disabled adults in East Sussex alone, but just 1000 disability care home beds available at any one time.
Bevern Care is launching: “To deliver excellent home care, offering an affordable solution for adult social care services and continuing health care, who are under increasing financial pressure.”
With no financial support from statutory authorities, we have raised the start up costs from grant funding to train and equip a home care team who can respond to increasing demand for our disability services in East Sussex.
We recognise that to give the best care to vulnerable people at our home and in the community, we must look after our staff, pay them well and provide training and support to keep them and further their career in adult social care. As a charity, the funds we raise allow us to go above and beyond for our residents by providing a greater level of freedom and opportunities that just aren’t possible with other disability charities like ours.
We look forward to sharing our progress with you soon.
